We understand that a stay can raise quite a few questions. We have listed the most frequently asked questions below. If your question is not listed, please email us at [email protected].

My reservation

Can I change or cancel my reservation?

You certainly can. Our rates are flexible and with our superflex rate you can always cancel for free. On the day of arrival we will hold the room for you until 18:00 pm. To guarantee your booking, we ask you to provide your credit card details through the online check-in. Only in case of no-show we can charge the 100% cancellation fee. If you have a non-refundable rate and have already paid, cancellation is unfortunately not possible.

If you have made a reservation through a booking channel (Expedia, Booking.com etc) you have to communicate your modification or cancellation through the certain channel. We also apply flexible conditions there, but you can always check the right policies with the relevant booking channel.

Do I have to pay in advance?

No, the flexible rate does not have to be paid in advance. The non refundable rate, which will become available in a few months, must be paid in advance.

I do not have a credit card, can I still check in online?

Yes you can. In your confirmation there is a link to check in online. Feel free to fill it in already, it will save time at the reception, more time for fun!

Don’t worry if you don’t have a credit card or don’t want to fill it all out, you can step out of the process at any time and we will already have all the data you entered, so it won’t be lost. If the children don’t have an email address, it is of course not necessary to fill in data here.

Where can I find the prices of the rooms and the packages?

Go to guesthousehotel.co.uk and click on direct reservation. Relax, you’re not tied to anything yet and can always return. Select your arrival and departure date, the number of persons and you will see all options in both hotels. You will then always have the most current and best available price! Here you will also find our packages including for example Efteling tickets.

Children under the age of 3 do not have to be included in the number of guests, but please note the correct room type for the number of beds. You can always reserve a crib with us.

Because of the current Covid situation, can I still stay with you?

We recommend you to keep an eye on the advice of your local government, and to consult the measures of the country. We cannot advise you on this. You can read more about the covid measures here https://guesthousehotel.nl/covid-19/

We are under 18 years and would like to reserve a room is this possible?

Guests under 18 years of age are not allowed to stay in the hotel without the presence of a person over 18 years of age. This person does not have to spend the night in the same room, but does have to be present in the hotel.

We have a child between the ages of 0-3 years should we include them in the number of persons?

Children between 0-3 years old do not need to be included in the number of persons when making the reservation. Please note in the notes that there is a child of 0-3 years coming along so we can process this correctly in the reservation.

The Efteling

Can I walk to the Efteling?

Yes you can! It is only a 500 meter walk to the Efteling. You can leave your car with us for free.

I do not have tickets yet? Can I buy them at the hotel?

We are not allowed to sell single tickets, but they are included in our packages. Take a look at guesthousehotel.nl/efteling for the possibilities. Don’t forget you must also reserve a time slot via efteling.com.

Do I have to reserve the timeslots or do you do that?

We do not reserve time slots for Efteling, you can easily do that yourself via efteling.com. This way you remain in control of your own schedule. If you go to the Efteling for two days, you must reserve a time slot for both days. You will need two different e-mail addresses for the two time slot reservations. Do not forget it because it is really necessary that you have reserved the time.

I want to go to the Efteling on my arrival day, how do I get my tickets?

You still need to pick those up at the hotel! Come and see us in the morning, park your car, get the tickets at the reception, put your bags in our luggage room and walk relaxed to the Efteling. The tickets are waiting for you at our reception desk.

In-check and check-out

At what time can I check in?

Check-in is possible from 15:00 pm onwards. However, you may visit us in the morning if you are going to the Efteling. You may leave your car with us for free in the parking lot (next to the hotel) and walk to the Efteling from there. It is only 500 meters!

Can I check in earlier, because we are going to the Efteling?

I am checking in late. Is that also possible?

The reception desk is open until 23:00 so you need to be in before then. If you do the online check-in before you arrive, it saves you waiting time at the reception desk. And your credit card will then guarantee the room, we will hold it even after 18:00. If you are going to the Efteling and think you will be back late, you are always welcome to come and pick up the key before 15:00.

At what time do I have to Check out?

The check-out time is 11:00 am. You can book a snooze package if you want to stay in bed a little longer. The costs are € 17.50 per room and you can book this by mail.

My room and the facilities

Are there towels and is there linen in the room?

But of course! We are a comfortable hotel, so everything has been thought of! The beds are made and the towels are ready for you.

Can I leave the car on the day of departure?

Yes, you can leave your car with us and you can leave your luggage in the luggage room. You can walk to the Efteling in a few minutes.

Are pets welcome in the hotel?

Unfortunately, pets are not allowed with us.

Is parking for free?

Yes, you can leave your car with us for free, in the large parking lot next to the hotel.

Is there a small refridgerator in the room?

Only our BunkHouse and FarmHouse rooms have a small refridgerator, the GreenHouse rooms do not. Should we need to keep something cool for you, feel free to ask.

Is their a coffeemachine in the room?

No, unfortunately we don’t have one. But we do have a coffee machine in the Living where you can always get your cup of coffee or tea. And you can do that in your pajamas 😉

Do you have a pool?

We do not have a pool but did you know that we are only 10 min away from the blue lake. https://www.experience-island.nl/strand/

Do you also rent bikes?

In cooperation with Adams Bike Rental we rent through the reception normal bikes, E-Bikes and bikes for children.

Can we leave our bikes at the hotel?

We have a locked bicycle shed. More information about this is available at the reception on the day of arrival.

Is there a hairdryer available in the room?

A hairdryer is not in the room, but nothing is worse than a bad hair day so a hairdryer is available at reception.

HipHip Hooray we have a birthday boy, can you do something nice for this?

Sure, book our PartyPackage and we’ll make sure the room is nicely decorated and there’s a little treat in the room! The costs for a PartyPackage are €12.50.

Can you provide a birthday cake?

Certainly, we can arrange this for you. Please contact the reception and we will be happy to discuss the possibilities with you.

Is it possible to reserve a baby bed?

It is certainly possible to reserve a crib for our youngest guests. The cost for a crib is €7.50 per night and includes a changing mat and a diaper box.

Of course it is also allowed to bring your own crib.

Food and drinks

Can I reserve the breakfast?

Yes you can! In the reservation you can choose to add your breakfast. Breakfast costs €14,00 per person per night. Children up to 10 years old get a discount of €4.00 per person per night and children under 4 years old get breakfast for free.

Do I need to make a reservation for breakfast?

Yes, we work with breakfast shifts so reservations are necessary. You can do this onsite in the hotel online by scanning the QR code in your room or using the column in the Living. We are happy to assist you with this. Please note that each breakfast shift has a start and end time, so everyone can enjoy our buffet.

What can we expect at breakfast?

We have a breakfast buffet with freshly baked rolls, croissants, scrambled eggs, bacon, cold cuts, cheese, cereals, fruit and of course fruit juices, yoghurt, milk and coffee and tea.

Do you offer lunchbags?

Yes, we have our own Lunchbag. For €7.00 per person you upgrade your breakfast with a lunch bag. You may then fill your own packed lunch from our breakfast buffet. How easy is that? Order the lunchbag online via our QR codes.

Can I have dinner at the hotel?

Yes you can, on our second floor we have our FoodBar. We do not serve elaborate dinners but for a nice snack and simple meal you have come to the right place. We have a small menu, which can be scanned via a QR code with some appetizers, pizzas, a burger and some other small dishes.

Do I have to make a reservation for dinner?

No, because we don’t have an extensive menu, you can just walk in and give us your self-order choices online. Hassle-free is how we do it!

Can I have lunch?

In the very busy months, we often don’t have lunch. But if you scan the QR code that is on the table, you will see the offer of that moment. As of 4:30 pm, the menu is complete and all dishes can be ordered!

Is it allowed to come and have dinner with childern?

You can definitely eat with kids at our place. We have plenty of choices for little ones!

Do you keep in mind allergies and diets?

We don’t have a huge kitchen staff and a limited menu but I’m sure our staff can help you. We are happy to take allergens into account, several allergens are displayed under all of our dishes. Gluten free? Did you know that we have special gluten free pizza bases and also for breakfast we can offer gluten free bread provided the allergens are known to us in advance.

Can I, as a non hotel guest, also eat or drink at your place?

Unfortunately we are short of capacity and the FoodBar is only open for hotel or meeting guests. Do you have something to celebrate with a larger group or a special request? If so, please contact us. But for individual table reservations there are fortunately enough great addresses in Kaatsheuvel!

I want to come with more than 10 adults for dinner in the FoodBar. Is this possible?

It is certainly possible to have a bite to eat in our FoodBar. For groups of 10 adults or more we have a special menu that also takes into account our youngest guests. For the possibilities please contact our receptionists!
